Bob Streit has an uncanny way of connecting with researchers all over the world that have technology that can help his farmers. He sleuths out this technology and makes these products available to increase soil health, increase yield and quality, and reduce costs. His farmers are his priority.
I’m a geek when it comes to science. When Bob started working with Vatché Keuftedjian of Pursanova and we were told his water research could increase yields and plant health I said, “Show me!” So we did trials on soybeans and strawberries in Watsonville, CA with a major plant science company. Soybean yields increased by 233% and the strawberry plants had more runners and fruit.
That wasn’t good enough for me so I did my own trials. I purchased six house plants and put three plants in each pot. The pot on the left was watered regularly with normal water while the pot on the right was watered with Pursanova energized water. After several months there was a remarkable difference in the growth using the Pursanova water. Check out the photo. Regular water is on the left. Pursanova on the right.
Pursanova Under the Counter Water Treatment System (UTC)
One of Pursanova’s newest invention is an under the counter drinking water treatment unit that removes pharmaceuticals, the #1 used Ag pesticide, iron, hydrogen sulfide, and heavy metals from water.
Testing was completed by a certified laboratory to verify that the #1 used pesticide was removed. The instrument used was a SciEx LCMSMS (Liquid Chromatograph Mass Spec) capable of testing at levels down to 60 parts per trillion. The Under the Counter filter has five chambers, but testing was only through four chambers (Just imagine what the results would be if we used all five chambers.) and the results were great. We tested “ppb” parts per billion and not “ppm” parts per million. AMPA (Aminomethylophosphonic Acid) was also tested. It is the primary metabolite of Glyphosate and is as active as the primary chemical, so must be accounted for. The focus on the test results were to not only remove contaminants, but also not to contaminate the environment at the same time. The results were amazing and verified the removal of the #1 used pesticide.
Two options are available for this system. The first system is great for homes, townhouses, or apartments where city water pressure is good. The second system is recommended for well water, farms, and basement installation where pressure is weak. Replacement filters should be changed once per year and the membrane once every two years. The photo below shows an example of an installed system. To learn more go to the PURSANOVA website.
Recently our friend and water researcher, Vatché Keuftedjian of Pursanova won a major award from International Trade Council. This annual award is for inventors and carries the same prestige among small and medium sized companies as the Nobel Prize.
Most people don’t know that he started his company because his son was sick and no one could diagnose the problem or heal him. Vatché found that the problem was the contaminants in the water that his son drank and bathed in. His research saved his son’s life.
Vatché continues to do research in the U.S., Germany, and Japan. For more information on Pursanova water solutions go to http://www.pursanova.com.
Here is a great article by Jerry Carlson of Renewable Farming about Vatché and the award.
Pursanova founder Vatché Keuftedjian wins top technology award from International Trade Council
For roughly a decade, farmers around the world have saved millions of dollars in fertilizer and chemical costs by improving the quality of their spray water with reverse osmosis and energizing systems made by Pursanova Ltd. Inc.
This month, Pursanova founder and president Vatché Keuftedjian was named as the winner in the top technology award offered by the International Trade Council (ITC) based in Brussels, Belgium. Judges selected Vatché from among finalists today at the ITC world conference meeting in Chicago.
October 23, 2019 — By Jerry Carlson This is an update from our Oct. 10 report which reported that Vatché was a finalist who would present at the Think Global Conference in Chicago (www.thinkglobalconference.org.)
