I’m Grant with Phytobiotics and am tickled to be writing a blurb for Bob and Team at “the CIA.”
Bob’s a smart guy, and I really hope I measure up to the standard in this community!
We at Phytobiotics make foliar feeds that use amino acid technology to get minerals into and throughout the plant.
As Bob mentioned a week or so ago, biological chelating agents offer a two-fold advantage:
-They are workable delivery agents that the plant will recognize and move
-Being nutrients themselves, the delivery agent contributes towards growth, health, and yield potential
2019 was our Y0 in testing the materials and had interesting results. See a summary on our website for yourself: https://phytobioticsnorthamerica.com/folia-iq/.
A few interesting observations from our work:
-Copper was a clear winner; we saw promising results even in the presence of biological stress
-In one multi-rep and treatment trial, Zn drove the uptake of boron almost three-fold! Mn, Fe, and a few of the secondaries jumped up between 10% and 40% right along with it
-Early Zn/Mn applications saw great results and especially blew it out of the water without applying them with post-emerge herbicides
-Our 21.6 bu result in corn from the Iowa Soybean Association came from a gentleman who had three interesting attributes:
a. Has been practicing no-till and using cover crops for the past several seasons
b. Uses hog manure (I’m looking at you high P levels)
c. Applied Zn without herbicide
We have a lot yet to learn, and 2020 will be an extension of 2019 in terms of testing.
Given Bob surrounds himself with astute individuals who would know whether a product worked, we invite you to participate in our 2020 Trial IQ program!
We are also getting more data for a proprietary calcium product, also a glycine chelate.
An invite is also open to this group to consider trying 20 to 40 acres. Supplies are limited and followed on a first come, first served basis.
Hope to connect and learn with you this season!
